WHAT'S NEW AT VYC
Vallarta Yacht Club Renovation Updates!
As we move closer to the completion of our club's renovation project, I have some exciting updates to share. We have changed most of the lighting throughout the club and restaurant and painted the club a rich blue which adds a warm, nautical style and feel to our club. We have also added a beautiful custom made trophy case to display our many trophies, awards and photos with room for more! There is a relaxing lounge area and the Game Room tables and chairs have been changed to add more comfortable seating. We still have more to do but our goal of completing the project by the end of October is on track. VYC Opening Day and the Re-Grand Opening of Picante Grill will be Saturday, November 9th where we will showcase our newly renovated club! We look forward to welcoming you! Please feel free to invite friends and family to the Opening Day festivities. More information will be coming soon.

Vallarta Yacht Club Unveils New Mural as Part of an Exciting Renovation!
As a proud member of Vallarta Yacht Club (VYC), I'm thrilled to share that our beloved club is undergoing a significant makeover, with a striking new mural taking center stage. The renovation project, which began in May and is set to continue through October, aims to revitalize our club and enhance our members' experience.
At the heart of this transformation is a captivating mural by renowned artist Daniel Garra. This stunning piece of art draws inspiration from the Banderas Bay International Regatta, one of the oldest and most prestigious international sailing events on Mexico's west coast. This regatta, long sponsored by VYC, has been a cornerstone of our club's deep connection to the broader sailing community.
Olympic Dreams- From Banderas Bay to Paris
Have you ever met an Olympian? If you spend enough time at VYC, you might just cross paths with one. Our famous bay has been a training ground for several Olympians and aspiring Olympians, who have come through the club for various levels of support. From Tanya Callas, who competed in the Tokyo Olympics in 2020, to Elena Oetling Ramirez, who represented Mexico in Paris this year, we are privileged to welcome these remarkable athletes and their competitive sailing spirit into our community.
After competing in the Paris Olympic Dinghy Sailing, Elena Oetling Ramirz eloquently expressed her feelings on competition and the philosophical wisdom in such a young person. She acknowledged support from VYC by saying, "Gracias @vallartayachtclub por el apoyo y cariño incondicional." - "Thank you @vallartayachtclub for the unconditional support and love."
